Affordable web design in Manchester usually means one of two things: a cheap template that never brings in a customer, or an agency quote that blows the budget. Damon Dynamics offers a third option. Fixed-price websites from £249, properly built for phones and Google, live in 7 to 14 days, and you deal with the engineer who builds them.
We are a small studio based in Bradford, just over the Pennines, and we work with Manchester businesses remotely. This page explains our prices, how a remote project works, and how a small business can compete in one of the busiest search markets in the country.

Why affordable web design Manchester businesses can trust is hard to find
Manchester has a huge digital scene, from big agencies to freelancers in every co-working space. That is great for choice, but it makes prices confusing. Two quotes for the same small site can differ by thousands of pounds, and the cheapest options often hide monthly fees, keep the domain in their own name, or leave you with a template that nobody ever finds on Google.
We keep prices low in a different way. The repetitive parts of building and optimising a site are automated in-house by Connor, the AI team that also runs our own marketing, so we can sell finished work at fixed prices instead of billing by the hour. Every site is built by Damon Chandio, an AI engineer with an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from the University of Hull.
Website design Manchester prices
These are the full prices. They are fixed, agreed before work starts, and paid securely by card. Domain and hosting are paid directly to the provider in your name, usually £5 to £15 a month.
| Package | Price | What it is for | Live within |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter website | £249 | Looking credible and easy to contact: up to 3 pages, contact form, click-to-call, Google basics | 7 days |
| Business website | £499 | Winning work from Google: up to 8 pages plus a blog, copy written with you, full on-page SEO | 14 days |
| AI-powered website | £899 | Handling lots of enquiries: everything in Business plus an AI assistant that answers customers and captures leads | 14 days |

There is no monthly charge for the website itself. Optional monthly services, like SEO and our AI chatbot, roll monthly and can be cancelled any time. Full details are on our websites and SEO page.
What affordable should and should not mean
Cheap and affordable are not the same thing. A low price is only good value if the website actually works for your business. Whoever you hire in Manchester, these are the things a low price should never cost you:
- Ownership. The domain, hosting and website should be yours, in your name. Cheap deals that keep the domain in the supplier’s account can make leaving expensive.
- Speed on mobile. Most local searches happen on phones. A slow site loses visitors however good it looks.
- The SEO basics. Page titles, descriptions, a sitemap, Search Console and a link to your Google Business Profile should be standard, not extras.
- A clear price for changes. You should know what happens when you want to update something after launch.
- A real person to talk to. If something breaks, you need someone who answers.
What an affordable site can reasonably leave out is anything you do not need yet: custom illustrations, complex animations, dozens of pages written on day one. You can add those later once the site is bringing in work.
What a small business website needs, page by page
Most small business websites do not need many pages, but each one has a job. This is the structure we use as a starting point for a Business website, and it is a useful checklist even if you build your own.
- Home page. What you do, where you do it and why someone should choose you, in the first few lines. Then your main services, proof such as reviews and photos, and one clear way to get in touch.
- One page per main service. What it involves, who it is for, typical prices or a starting point, how long it takes, and the questions people ask before they buy. These pages do most of the work in search.
- About page. The people behind the business, your experience, accreditations and why you do what you do. People buy from people, especially small businesses.
- Area pages, if you serve several places. Only for the areas that matter most, each with real local detail.
- Contact page. Phone, email, a short form, opening hours, the areas you cover and, if customers visit, a map and parking information.
- Blog or guides. Answers to common questions, added over time. This is how a site keeps growing in search after launch.
Legal pages such as a privacy notice and cookie information sit alongside these, and we set them up as part of every build.
How a remote web design project works
Almost all small business websites are now built remotely, even when the designer is down the road. We work the same way with Manchester businesses as with ones in Bradford.
- You get in touch by email or the contact form and tell us what your business does and what the website needs to do. We reply within one working day.
- We agree the package and the price. If you would rather talk it through, we can arrange a phone or video call.
- You send your logo, photos and service details. A shared folder or email is fine. On the Business and AI-powered packages, we write or polish the copy with you.
- We build the site and send you a private link. You review it on your own phone and laptop, and rounds of changes are included in the price.
- We launch it, connect your domain, submit it to Google and Bing, and link it to your Google Business Profile.
Because nothing depends on meetings in person, the timeline is the same as for local clients: within 7 days for a Starter site and within 14 days for the larger packages, once we have your content.

Competing in Manchester search results
Manchester is one of the most competitive places in the UK to rank a local business. For a service like plumbing or accountancy, you are up against hundreds of established firms across the city and its surrounding boroughs. A new small business can still win, but only by choosing its battles.
Go local before you go city-wide
Greater Manchester is made up of ten boroughs, from Bolton and Wigan to Stockport and Tameside, and each contains dozens of neighbourhoods. A search for “electrician Didsbury” or “cleaner Sale” is far easier to win than “electrician Manchester”, and the person searching is usually closer and readier to book. Start with the areas where you already get work.
Make every area page earn its place
Area pages work when they contain genuinely local detail: jobs you have done there, how quickly you can get there, the local questions customers ask. Copying the same page and swapping the place name is something Google’s spam policies describe as doorway pages, and it can drag the whole site down.
Treat your Google Business Profile as your second website
For most local searches, the map results appear first, and they come from Google Business Profile. Choose the most specific category, list your service areas, add real photos, post updates and reply to every review. Google’s own tips for improving local ranking are a good checklist.
Answer questions your customers actually search
Articles that answer real questions, like what a job costs, how long it takes or what to look for in a supplier, bring in visitors long before they are ready to buy. They also show Google that your site deserves to rank for your main services.
How different Manchester businesses use their websites
Manchester has every kind of small business, and each uses its website a little differently. A few common patterns:
Cafés, bars and restaurants
Menus, opening hours, location and booking matter most, and they must be easy to read on a phone. Keep the menu as text rather than a photo or PDF so it loads quickly and Google can read it. An AI chatbot can handle questions about allergens, group bookings and parking.
Salons, barbers and clinics
Online booking and a clear price list do the heavy lifting. Photos of real work and recent reviews persuade new customers, and a page per treatment helps you appear for specific searches.
Trades and home services
A quick quote form, real job photos, the areas you cover and proof such as accreditations and guarantees. For trades, area pages and a well-run Google Business Profile usually bring in more enquiries than anything else.
Consultants and creative freelancers
Your website is your portfolio and your credibility. Case studies, a strong about page and a simple way to book a call matter more than lots of pages.
Small online shops
If you sell a modest range of products online, a simple shop with clear photos, honest delivery information and an easy checkout often beats a complicated one. Start with your best sellers, make returns and delivery times obvious, and add products as you grow. Larger catalogues with stock systems and integrations are a bigger custom project, and we will say so if that is what you need.
Monthly SEO, if you want help with the slow work
Ranking in Manchester takes steady effort over months. If you would rather hand that over, our SEO plans do it for you, with Connor researching and drafting and Damon reviewing everything before it goes live.
- Local SEO, £99 a month: Google Business Profile optimised and posted to monthly, on-page fixes, Search Console and Bing set up, one researched article a month and a plain-English ranking report.
- Growth SEO, £199 a month: everything in Local SEO plus four researched articles a month and tracking for every page.
- Pro SEO, £349 a month: built for competitive markets like Manchester, with eight articles a month, stalled pages rewritten, competitor keyword tracking and a quarterly strategy call.
Most sites start to move in two to three months. We will never promise a number one ranking, because nobody honest can, and in a market as busy as Manchester the honest answer is that it takes time.
An AI chatbot for your Manchester website
If your business gets lots of the same questions, an AI chatbot can answer them for you around the clock. Ours is built from your own website, so it knows your services, prices and opening hours, and it only answers from your information. When it does not know, it says so and gives people your contact details.
It costs £99 a month with no setup fee, goes live within 3 working days, and works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and hand-built sites, so you can add it to the website you already have. Build a free demo from your own website to try it first.

Is a fixed-price website right for your business?
Fixed-price websites suit most small businesses, sole traders and start-ups, because the needs are predictable: explain what you do, prove you are good at it and make it easy to get in touch. They are not the right fit for everything. If you need a large online shop with thousands of products, a complex booking system tied into other software, or a full brand identity created from scratch, you probably need a bigger, custom project, and we will tell you so.
If you are somewhere in between, for example you need a standard website plus one custom tool such as an automated quote calculator, we can quote the tool separately. Our AI tools and automation start from £549, with a working prototype in one to two weeks.
Why Manchester businesses work with a Bradford studio
- Lower prices without cutting corners. Automation does the repetitive work, so you pay for finished work, not hours.
- One person, start to finish. You talk to the engineer who builds your site, not an account manager.
- Everything stays yours. Domain, hosting and website are in your name, documented so you are never locked in.
- Honest advice. We tell you when you do not need a new website, or when a simpler option will do.
We also work with businesses closer to home, including website design in Leeds, web design in Bradford and across West Yorkshire.
